Tandem Flights -$150

Do you Dream of flying?

The Ultimate Free Flight Experience

The dream of flying has inspired our imagination for thousands of years. The grace and freedom of birds in flight have long been a source of wonder and envy of mankind.  From the Greek myths of "Icarus and Daedelus" to the early experiments of  Abbas Bin Firnas and DaVinci, to the poetic writings  of Richard Bach we seem fascinated by the adventure of flight. Have you ever watched a bird soaring in the sky and wondered what that would be like?  A Tandem paragliding discovery flight with Colorado Paragliding LLC makes it possible for almost anyone to fulfill the dream of flight.

Tandem flights with our professional instructors, which serve as Ambassadors to the sport of Paragliding.  Flights are scheduled 2-3 times a day in the morning and 1-2 times a day in the late afternoon/early evening, based on weather projections  The pilot will give you a briefing for your flight, and at the launch site put you into a comfortable harness. With final instructions and a few running steps you and your pilot will take off the side of the hill like a Eagle. The passenger sits in front of the pilot, allowing for the best views.

Summer Schedule:  Morning flight times vary with conditions, but plan about 1 1/2 hours to 2 hours for your paragliding experience.  Evening conditions are more subject to changes and a 2-3 hour block of time may be necessary for your paragliding experience. Your Pilot will check conditions the night before, and schedule a morning wakeup call for that day's update.

Fall, Winter, and Spring Schedule:  Colorado weather is always changing.  Flying days can be limited.  If you are in town for a short visit, please book early to accommodate for weather cancelations.

What to Bring:   A jacket for wind chill protection and proper footwear are the highest priorities to enhance the enjoyment and comfort of your flight. Participants should be prepared for cooler temperatures.   Layered clothing, long pants with a wind proof outer shell is best.  Sunglasses are normally recommended. You are also welcome to bring a small camera.  Ankle support/ hiking boots are also highly recommended.  Your pilot with Colorado Paragliding supplies all technical gear (helmet, harness, etc.) NO SANDALS type shoes or SHORT PANTS.

No.   A Paraglider is launched from regulated flying sites and together with the instructor, you take some running strides and are gently lifted off the ground as the glider begins to fly.

How does the whole thing take?
Flight time is generally between 8 – 12 min. and can last longer if conditions allow (depending on air) and the entire experience will take approx 1 1/2-2 hours (summer) return from the parking area.

Are there any restrictions?

We do have weight restrictions in place (from 70lbs. – 220lbs) depending on client fitness and weather conditions. Lighter  people can be accommodated on an individual basis with weather conditions.

What do I need?
You will need sturdy footwear, long pants, wind breaker or light jacket, sun glasses, sun screen, and Camera (you'll be able to use it in flight). There is a short uphill hike to the takeoff site. A reasonable standard of fitness is required.

We do a weather check in the early a.m. All flights are weather dependant. Colorado conditions can always change, and for your safety, flights can not be guaranteed for specific times and dates.
